Our last weigh-in for 2010!! Then we will take a break from lamb meetings during Christmas break and start again Wednesday January 5th, 2011.
We will be filling out all FAIR paperwork since it is due that week. I will take all paperwork down to the Fair myself.
Hopefully our Seasonal Pass info will be in by then.
Weigh-in is at 9am then we will work with the lambs some more and practice showing.

December 8, 2010 meeting
Agenda for meeting:
Karlie to lead 4-H Pledge
Lyndsie to lead Pledge of Allegiance
CC Officers will speak to kids and play a game.
I will print off 4-H project record book forms. If we have time we will get started on our rough- drafts for the Lamb project.
We seem to wait until May to get started on these books so I would like to fill them in as we go and get started on them right away.
If the kids can bring any info on $$ spent so far and we will go over our past meetings and events to put down as well.

Past meetings
I haven't been updating the blog as much as I would like to so here is a list of our past meetings that haven't been posted.
We had a meeting w/o lambs on November 10th. We were able to enjoy a fun pizza party with the gift card we won to Pizza Hut for the "Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat" contest. Then all 3 kids answered questions I asked that could be asked to them by a judge during showmanship. We discussed different answers and all kids participated. Tyler, Lyndsie and Karlie were there.

Saturday October 23rd
Calling all Lambs!! Saturday October 23rd at 9am at the Daugherty Residence!
We will kick off the morning by weighing all lambs and then we will have a special guest, Roger Hurliman join us to help you learn the in's and out's of basic showmanship.

Trick Or Treat So Other's Can Eat
Wednesday October 20th 5:30-7:30 pm
Our neighborhood pick-up in Rancho Jardines went great!! The kids had a blast with their lambs and the neighbor's really enjoyed seeing the kids and their lambs.
All of the kids took turns speaking to the neighbor's about why they were out collecting can foods. Don't forget to add this to your community service list on your record book, and your public speaking list in your record book.
Parents, Thank you so much for getting the kids here last night and for making the long walk.
Tom and Kelli- Thank you so much for taking time off of work and bringing the Artic Cat and trailer, it was a such a huge help!!!

Lamb meeting 10/13/10
Finally, I have completed my certification to become a 4-H leader and I can now have an actual meeting at my house.
The first one will be Wednesday October 13th at 6:30. I am encouraging parents to stay at this meeting if possible to decide on some things that are coming up in the near future.
If you cannot stay, don't worry about it I will get the info to you one way or another.
The meeting will be at my house and will probably last for about 30-45 min.

1st meetings with Lambs!
Saturday September 25th at 9:00am will be our 1st meeting that our lambs are invited to!
We will be weighing and working with lambs.
We will use the round pen on the east side of my house. Please either park in circular driveway or along Via De Olivos. Also have your lamb on halter so there will be no problems leading them to the pen (just until we get them a little more broke).
